Megan Campbell is a percussionist pulling from the classical, traditional, and contemporary cultures of three different countries.

Megan has experience in Drum Corps International, touring classic percussion ensemble music in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, and China, along with participating in New Music festivals in Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany. In just 3 short years specializing in contemporary solo performance, she has premiered over 15 works for percussion solo and chamber music in over 9 different countries and 3 different continents. This wide-ranging experience results in unique interpretations, clarity in live performance, and a different understanding of both standard and newly-written repertoire.

From Rudimental Snare Drumming, to 20th century contemporary music, to brand new premieres. Megan’s Repertoire is expansive and displays the many possibilities of percussion.

Rooted

Written in 2021 by Brian Blume, Megan has performed the American, Spanish, and Portuguese premieres of this ambient piece for 2 snare drums, glockenspiel, and electronics.

Mirage pour Marimba

A 1970’s staple for the marimba written by Japanese composer Yasuo Sueyoshi.

Spiel

A fast-paced and exciting piece for rudimental glockenspiel written by Andy Akiho as part of the Seven Pillars. Megan has performed the Nordic premiere of this piece, and is recognized internationally for her interpretation.
